Situated in the heart of Old-West Amsterdam, Morgan & Mees Amsterdam is a vibrant quaint little boutique hotel. The boutique hotel offers a restaurant as well as a cocktail bar!
If you are looking for discrete stylish places to stay during your yearly visit to Europe, look no more! Behind all the fancy new hotels, Morgan & Mees Amsterdam is a hidden gem. This intimate boutique hotel used to be a 19th-century girls’ orphanage.
It was a combined effort of hoteliers Myrthe Slotemaker and Roger Peeton along with interior designer Marius Haverkamp. The hotel offers only nine rooms to its visitors. However, it makes up for it in the hospitality department. The concept was to create a space where both locals and tourists could relax and enjoy.

The theme behind the décor is elegance meets bohemian. The 9 rooms are divided based on the area they cover. Firstly, the small standard room, like an apartment studio. Secondly, the deluxe double room, which includes a shower, smart TV, and stylish decorations. Thirdly the suites, perfect for couples on their honeymoon or business travel! Each room has its own air-conditioning, rain showers, and locally crafted Marie Stella Maris toiletries.
All rooms share a neutral color palette of cream and browns with herringbone wooden floors.
Morgan & Mees Amsterdam also includes a restaurant that offers its guests breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Plus you can munch on additional snacks whenever you feel untimely hunger! Hip restaurant and bar take up the usual place of the reception. International classics including dishes and authentic cocktails are served.
