Terrasse Des Epices, Cuisine With A Barber

The Terrasse Des Epices is the terrace of spices, literally. At this restaurant, you can have both Moroccan and international dishes. The owner Nicolas Nancy was inspired by the country’s flavors and by the happy chaos of the city’s medina. Thanks to interior designer Anne Favier, this restaurant has the cozy and warm vibes of Morocco. 

The cuisine

At Terrasse Des Epices, there is something for every palate. 

If you like or if you want to try Moroccan food, the menu has you covered. You can start with an assortment of salads or Briouates Cheese and vegetable. The main course features tajines, including the tajine Makfoul with lamb. To end the meal, you can choose a traditional dessert like the Beldy yogurt. 

If you prefer international flavors, you can find them at this restaurant. You can start with a warm goat cheese salad and then move to the main courses. They include pasta like the tagliatelle alla bolognese and a juicy cheeseburger. Finish with gourmet dessert or the tiramisu of the season. 

The restaurant has two signature dishes: the Tanjia Marrakchia and the Chocolate Pastilla. The former is a tagine typical of the medina. The latter is a delicious dessert with tons of chocolate, almonds, and apricots. 

Sweets are a house’s specialty. In fact, you can stop by the bakery and enjoy your coffee break here. Everything is homemade and accompanied by mint tea. 

The Barber of Terrasse Des Epices

A restaurant with a barber? It might sound odd, but in Morocco it’s normal. You can find shops next to eateries, to get the full treatment. 

This is the barber shop of the kissaria Sidi Abdelaziz which focuses on masculine elegance. It’s the new and modern generation of professionals that has returned to the graceful facial hair and the rituals of beauty. It’s natural and delicate, a perfect gift for your partner while on vacation. 

Aside from cuts and trims, you can book the 40-minute treatment. It includes cottons soaked in rose water over the eyes, deep cleansing of the skin, and menthol shaving cream. It features a steam bath to dilate the pores and a face massage. It’s relaxing and rejuvenating.
