After a morning of sightseeing in Paris, you might need a break for lunch. You might to relax in a gorgeous and peaceful restaurant, away from the chaos. Le Jardin Francais, inside the chic Hotel Bristol, is the right place.
A relaxing break
As the translation suggest, this is the French Garden. And not just because you are in the French capital. This is a courtyard garden. It features elegant tables, high white parasols, and as many trees and plants as you can count. Depending on the season, you are surrounded by lush nature and fragrant roses, like you would at the Versailles gardens.
This chic and tiny restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner, so you can both have a cup of tea or a cocktail. This is a gorgeous garden, perfect to escape the crowds of Paris’ historic center. Whether you believe it or not, you are in the heart of the city. The restaurant of the Hotel Bristol is located at rue du Faubourg saint Honoré, one of the most famous shopping streets of the city.
At this urban oasis, you are surrounded by nature, so it’s time to take in the peace before leaping back to noisy society.
A bite at Le Jardin Francais
Since this is outdoors dining, the restaurant is only open from May until October, when the season allows. Every day from 3.00pm to 6.00pm, you can have an afternoon tea. Or, if you prefer, at 5:30pm, cocktail hour begins.
Drinks are paired with Chef Eric Frechon tapas with King Crab Rolls and Spicy Ketchup or Tempura-style shrimp. A perfect bite before dinner in town. The chef is the same who prepares and creates the menu, which is the same of the indoors Cafe Antonia at the Hotel Bristol.
The cuisine includes a selection of salads and sandwiches for quick bites, as well as main courses to sit down and enjoy. The chef’s suggestions include Ravioli of langoustine, Black Angus carpaccio, and cheeseburger with crispy bacon. For a surprise, finish your meal with the pastry of the day,
Le Cafe Francais is a little (and secret) corner where you can find some peace, surrounded by nature in the heart of Paris. This is where you lay down and relax, why not?
